Its warm and welcoming atmosphere, crackling fireplace, and picturesque, rabbit-themed décor make this delightful restaurant one of the district’s unique culinary destinations. Le Lapin Sauté is the perfect place to enjoy not only its specialty—rabbit—prepared in a myriad of ways, but also duck, too.
Products from the Québec terroir
All of the dishes are concocted using local Québec products, mainly from the region. Served in a multitude of recipes, rabbit and duck are delicious in a warm liver and kidney salad, or as rillettes, magret, cassoulet, or pie. Our fixed menu features traditional dishes made from rabbit and duck meat. And our terrines, confit, and magret are sure to appeal to discerning gourmets.
Aside from rabbit, you may be tempted by our famous cheese fondue and our French onion soup. And our desserts, including our maple syrup crème brûlée, are truly delicious.
A warm and cozy atmosphere
This charming little restaurant, which seats up to 32 inside, expands in summer with a wonderful outdoor patio right next to beautiful Félix-Leclerc Park, one of the loveliest in Québec City. The 52-seat terrace practically doubles the restaurant's seating area, and is a delight for lovers of nature and good food, in an enchanting setting that appeals to all the senses. The warm hospitality, fine food, and cozy fireplace are sure to be a highlight of every visit to Le Lapin Sauté.
